These homeowners have lived in their house for over 25 years. They have a harpsichord, an organ and 2 pianos so they definitely preferred to remodel rather than move.

Improving their storage options was high on the list for this kitchen makeover. Note the pull-out pantry shelves that replaced the crowded closet pantry. Removing the hanging cabinet at the edge of the room really opens the kitchen up to the living room. Continuous flooring, matching cabinetry and the tied-in color scheme also lend to the feel of one large living space.

Making better use of the space under the window allowed the kitchen and cabinetry to be extended the whole length of the room. Converting the cabinets in the entertainment center to one open shelf helps modernize the look of the whole room.
