With so many contractors in Austin, why choose Top-Notch Renovations for your project?
Our priority is for you to be completely thrilled with the end result of your project and the process of working with us. The best advertising for us is a great referral to your friends and family so we take this seriously and work hard until you’re completely satisfied.
Qualifications – Robert is one of only 12 NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry) Certified Remodelers in Austin. That means we adhere to NARI’s Standards and Code of Ethics, that Robert has passed a written exam related to general remodeling practices and that he completes annual continuing education. That’s in addition to his years of hands-on experience. In other words, he knows what he’s doing and we take home remodeling very seriously. We’re also fully insured and provide a 2-year workmanship warranty.
FREE Consultation – Our initial meeting with you to talk through the work you’d like to have done is completely free of charge. We ask a lot of questions upfront to make sure we understand your vision and so we can provide an accurate of a price as possible. Our customers often find it useful to include an interior designer in the planning phase. We’re happy to work with yours or we work closely with several that we can recommend. We have also developed several checklists to help you understand the project flow and to help with your decision-making process.
Cost Estimates – We take pride in our ability to accurately estimate the cost of jobs upfront. Generally speaking, unless the scope of the project changes, the price we give you upfront is the price you’ll pay. We don’t present the lowest price just to get the job and then increase it once we’ve started. We try to accurately estimate your costs and make a note on the estimate when we’ve ball-parked so you’ll know upfront if there’s a chance the price could fluctuate in a certain area.
We’ve built partnerships with a number of subcontractors in different fields and our relationships with them allow us to provide you with the highest level of craftsmanship and service for competitive prices.
In Writing – For everyone’s protection, we provide a written contract and detailed cost estimate before the work begins. This helps ensure that we’re on the same page about the scope and details of your project. We know folks usually get 3 estimates before starting a project and we encourage it. We also know it’s difficult to compare these estimates to each other because every contractor does things differently. We take pride in our detailed cost estimates so you’ll know exactly what you’re getting. Rarely is the first estimate the last one, especially with larger jobs that take a while to come together. The lines of communication are always open with us. We encourage you to ask questions and clarify what’s included in the estimate and what’s not. The more we clarify the details upfront, the more smoothly the project will run once we get started.
Timely Completion – Once the details have been ironed out, we can usually get you on our schedule quickly and get to the fun part. For larger jobs, we’ll provide you with a detailed timeline and you’ll always get frequent updates on the progress. We finish on time too. We know home renovations are disruptive and we want to give you your house back as quickly as possible.
Project Manager – You’ll be assigned a project manager that will be your point of contact throughout the job. He’ll be involved from the initial planning conversations through completion of the project to help keep the communication seamless. Your project manager will be onsite every day, as needed, to make sure the project is progressing as it should be. You’ll be given his cell phone number and you’re encouraged to call him or our office with any questions or concerns.
Ownership – Our goal of you being so satisfied that you recommend us without reservation means we take ownership of the whole process. We will explain the renovation process, will gladly work with you or your designer on materials selections, order the materials, install the materials with a high level of craftsmanship, manage the project and inspect the finished product. We’re not finished until you’re completely satisfied.
When Things Go Wrong – Let’s face it, home renovations are done by humans for humans – sometimes things go wrong. We’re not going to pretend that things are always perfect. But we do commit to preventing as many problems as possible, to keeping you informed as the project progresses, to fixing what needs to be fixed and to working hard to complete your project until you are completely satisfied.
Handyman service – And once your project is complete, we’re happy to be your one-stop call for handyman work and home repairs as well. If we aren’t the right fit for what you need done, we’ll gladly refer you to someone who is.
